After one year or two, you HP laptop battery cannot power your laptop for a long time, and it is time to replace a notebook battery for your HP laptop. Laptop batteries often need to be replaced and HP notebook batteries are no different. It is very easy to replace a hp laptop battery or other simple laptop parts by yourself. Buy brand new cheap laptop batteries for laptop and replace it on your own.

Power down your HP notebook and unplug it from the wall. Turn your laptop over and locate the battery bay. Most are located on the same side that the screen opens on. Slide the latch or latches over to unlock the battery bay.

Lift the battery up and remove it from the enclosure. Place your new HP battery in and press down until you hear it click into place. Charge your new battery fully before turning the laptop on.

If you want to prolong the HP laptop battery life, you can reset the battery when you use it at the first time. Usually speaking, the battery on HP laptop computers is typically able to provide about two hours worth of battery power before the computer depletes the battery’s power. Depending on your computer’s power settings, the length of time a battery works could be slightly more or slightly less. Once the battery no longer has any power, you must reset the battery by providing it with a charge. The process is simple, but it can take up to a couple of hours for the battery to recharge.

Plug the small end of the adapter cord into the DC IN outlet on the side of the laptop. Plug the small plastic end of the power cord directly into the AC adapter. Plug the other end of the power cord into a wall outlet. You are now resetting the battery for laptop.

Now we use different words to describe computers, such as pc, desktop computer or laptop. Most of these words imply the size, expected use or capability of the computer. While the term computer can apply to virtually any device that has a microprocessor in it, most people think of a computer as a device that receives input from the user through a mouse or keyboard, processes it in some fashion and displays the result on a lcd screen.

1:PC

The personal computer (PC) defines a computer designed for general use by a single person. While a Mac is a PC, most people relate the term with systems that run the Windows operating system. PCs were first known as microcomputers because they were a complete computer but built on a smaller scale than the huge systems in use by most businesses.

2: Desktop Computer

A PC that is not designed for portability is a desktop computer. The expectation with desktop systems are that you will set the computer up in a permanent location. Most desktops offer more power, storage and versatility for less cost than their portable brethren.

3: Laptop

Also called notebooks, laptops are portable computers that integrate the display, keyboard, a pointing device or trackball, processor, memory and hard drive all in a battery-operated package slightly larger than an average hardcover book. Nowadays many people have laptops, and if you want to use the laptop anywhere you like, you’d better buy an alternative replacement laptop battery. And good quality laptop screen replacement will offer you vivid, clear images.

4: Netbook

Netbooks are ultra-portable computers that are even smaller than traditional laptops. The extreme cost-effectiveness of netbooks (roughly $300 to $500) means they’re cheaper than almost any brand-new laptop you’ll find at retail outlets. However, netbooks’ internal components are less powerful than those in regular laptops.

5: PDA

Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) are tightly integrated computers that often use flash memory instead of a hard drive for storage. These computers usually do not have keyboards but rely on touchscreen technology for user input. PDAs are typically smaller than a paperback novel, very lightweight with a reasonable battery life. A slightly larger and heavier version of the PDA is the handheld computer.

6: Workstation

Another type of computer is a workstation. A workstation is simply a desktop computer that has a more powerful processor, additional memory and enhanced capabilities for performing a special group of task, such as 3D Graphics or game development.

7: Server

A computer that has been optimized to provide services to other computers over a network. Servers usually have powerful processors, lots of memory and large hard drives. The next type of computer can fill an entire room.

8: Mainframe

In the early days of computing, mainframes were huge computers that could fill an entire room or even a whole floor! As the size of computers has diminished while the power has increased, the term mainframe has fallen out of use in favor of enterprise server. You’ll still hear the term used, particularly in large companies to describe the huge machines processing millions of transactions every day.

9: Supercomputer

This type of computer usually costs hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars. Although some supercomputers are single computer systems, most are composed of multiple high performance computers working in parallel as a single system. The best known supercomputers are built by Cray Supercomputers.

10: Wearable Computer

The latest trend in computing is wearable computers. Essentially, common computer applications (e-mail, database, multimedia, calendar/scheduler) are integrated into watches, cell phones, visors and even clothing. For more information see these articles on computer clothing, smart watches and fabric PCs.

When we use laptops for a period of time, we need to do a thorough clearance for laptop screens. As replacement screens and replacement laptop batteries are delicate laptop parts, you need to know that right step to clean these laptop lcd screens.

Step 1, you need to turn off your laptop. It’s safer, and when the screen is dark it is also easier to see the dirty areas.

Step 2, use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the screen; a microfiber cloth is best. Wipe the cloth against the screen in a circular motion, as rapid circular motions eliminate streaks. Use only enough pressure to keep the cloth in contact with the screen. If this doesn’t completely remove the smudges, then do not apply more pressure as you can scratch the screen or burn some pixels.

Step 3, given the fact that the dry cloth did not complete the job, there are many commercial cleaning products for LCD screens that you can buy in order to clean your laptop screen. If you don’t want to purchase one of these products, you can moist the cloth with a mixture between distilled water and a solution of 70 % isopropyl alcohol. Mix the distilled water and isopropyl alcohol in equal parts (50/50) inside a small atomizer bottle just like the one you use to clean your windows. A mixture of distilled water and vinegar, mixed in equal parts (50/50), will also do the job.

Step 4, the plastic frame that surrounds the screen can be clean with any multipurpose cleaner, but try to avoid contact with the screen itself.

Step 5, you can also use distilled water, hexane, petroleum benzine or commercial glass cleaners that do not contain ammonia or alcohol.

A notebook computer has the laptop battery, lcd panels and laptop mouse and other laptop parts. Now we can find a great variety of laptop mouse available in local laptop accessories stores or online stores. Most of laptop mouse are USB wireless or Bluetooth, and these mouse bring us much convenience when we are using laptops.

The wireless laptop mouse is a probably the best choice in order of reliability and price. It has a USB receiver that plugs in one of your laptop’s USB and once plugged in you’re ready to roll. Laptop mice today have an optical or laser sensor, so you don’t really need a mouse pad to carry around. If you own a laptop that has bluetooth and you are keen on keeping your USB ports free for other devices, and you don’t care to spend an extra buck (cause it is more expensive than the USB mouse), then a bluetooth laptop mouse is probably the choice for you.

Unlike a wireless USB mouse, the bluetooth mouse connects directly with your laptop through the bluetooth receiver inside your laptop, also most bluetooth mice being plug and play. There is also another type of laptop mouse that comes cheaper: the wired one. Now why would you keep your rodent buddy tied and not give it the freedom it needs? The thing is that even if a good wired laptop mouse might go as low as half the price of a wireless one, most of us still prefer spending extra for that practicality and freedom of use a wireless mouse offers.

A good laptop mouse either it’s USB wireless or bluetooth, should pack a good battery to keep it running for a long time. Laptop mice have either a rechargeable battery or AA/AAA batteries. The best choice, though in most cases more expensive is probably a laptop mouse that has a rechargeable battery, because it can become a little frustrating when the batteries die and you have to run to the store in order to buy more. If it has a good rechargeable battery, the laptop mouse will last longer and will also charge fast.

When choosing a laptop mouse you should also consider ergonomics. The mouse should best fit your hand in order to be comfortable, so if you have the possibility to try it out, you should. The size is an important factor in case of ergonomics as some people say a larger mouse feels better in hand, but if you travel a lot and are looking for the best use of space, a small, practical mouse, like the Swiftpoint mouse, is the right choice.

If your laptop screen cannot work any longer, many people would like to buy a new notebook rather than buy a new laptop screen replacement. Unlike the laptop battery, a laptop screen is very expensive. But if you just want to buy a laptop screen replacement for your laptop, you’d better know some tips to choose a good lcd screen.

Size is an important factor matters when choosing a laptop screen, because it’s strictly related to the size of the laptop, thus affecting portability. If you use your laptop at the office or at home and don’t carry it around too much, a decent 15 inch or 17 inch laptop screen should be enough. If you use your notebook as a desktop replacement, a 19 or 20 inch laptop screen is also a good choice. But if you are on the run and you travel a lot, than a better choice would be a 15 inch and below laptop screen. If you use your laptop for web navigation and you don’t need to run powerful apps, a netbook with a 10 inch screen will also do.

Ratio is an important factor for a laptop screen. You may have to choose between a 4:3 ratio screen and a 16:9 widescreen. If you use the machine for office tasks, mainly working with documents and browsing the Web, than a 4:3 laptop screen will probably make for a better choice, but if you use your laptop for multimedia purposes like watching videos or image editing, than the widescreen makes for a better choice.

Check the resolution of the laptop screen. Usually, a larger screen offers a bigger resolution, but sometimes cheap screens than other models with the same screen size. So if you work in photo or video editing or image processing you will need all the resolution you can get. The same goes for watching videos. Some laptop screens offer particularly high resolution, meaning that you can fit more detail unto the screen.

Laptops that are more expensive will have an active matrix display, meaning that the laptop screen is brighter, offering more color detail. The screen also updates quicker which gives the impression of more details, mostly during video playback. Whether you want to buy a new laptop screen or a new laptop, it all depends on you.

How much do you know about the lcd screen on your laptop? Both laptop screens and laptop batteries are important laptop parts. An LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is a flat, thin electronic display that uses the light modulating properties of liquid crystals.

Size represents the visible space on the laptop screen, unobstructed by the case or other design elements. Size is measured diagonally in inches or cm and is also known as the “physical image size” in order to be distinguished from the “logical image size” that refers to resolution and is expressed in pixels;

Refresh rate indicates how many times a second the display is lit (how many times a second the display “draws” data). Refresh rate is not the same as frame rate, because the first one involves the consecutive drawing of an identical frame on the display, while the second shows how many times a video source can send a new frame on the display. Most LCD panels need a continuous refresh rate. In general, the maximum refresh rate is limited by the response time of the laptop screen;

Response time is measured in milliseconds and shows the time a pixel needs to go from active (black) to inactive (white), and back to active (black). A lower response time means faster transition, therefore a more accurate picture;

Resolution represents the number of pixels shown on the laptop screen;

Energy consumption is measured in watts. As technology advances, a newer laptop screen will consume less energy, therefore your laptop battery will last longer. Brightness settings also affect energy consumption, a higher brightness will drain out the battery faster;

Aspect ratio is the relation between the length and the width of the display. Most known ratios are 4:3, used less and less on today’s laptops, 16:10 and 16:9 used more and more on laptop screens;

Luminosity is measured in square meter candela (cd/m2) and indicates how luminous the laptop screen surface is. A standard laptop screen ranges between 50-300 cd/m2;

Contrast is the ration between most luminous white and the most luminous black that can be displayed on the laptop screen. A higher contrast rate, makes for a better, crisper picture;

Viewing angle is measured horizontally and vertically and states the maximum angle from which the picture shown on the display can be viewed.

If you have got a laptop, you certainly need to install antivirus software, whether it is free antivirus software or paid antivirus. We have to buy replacement laptop battery or lcd screen if we have to use it, but we can use antivirus software for free. So many people would like to choose free antivirus software, but do the free software can kill virus? What exactly is the difference between free antivirus software and paid antivirus software? Which one works best to protect your notebook computer or desktop?

We should take notice of the fact that there is no security solution that can protect our computer 100%. For example, there is a 90% chance that your PC is the victim of spyware, at this moment on the Internet being over 79.000 spyware and adware programs that can threaten your netbook, laptop or desktop. Though virus will not destroy your laptop screens replacement or laptop parts, you cannot use it if it is infected. So every laptop should install antivirus software.

To be protected against computer viruses, two main options exist: free antivirus software or paid antivirus software. A third option comes in between and is represented by free demo or trial simplified versions of antivirus software, which antivirus manufacturers offer. So here we are, back to the battlefield: free antivirus vs. paid antivirus.

There are many users that say free antivirus software is as good as paid antivirus software, while specialists say that a free antivirus doesn’t offer technical support.

According to research made by Opswat, free antivirus software is the market leader: 42% is held by free antivirus software.

“It would appear that end users have as much faith in the ability of free antivirus applications to keep them as secure as they do paid antivirus.”

Analyst Rugeru Contu says that results are far from unexpected, since free products are more popular during an economic crisis, and free antivirus software is reliable.

“I think overall the perception of the free product is that they are good enough products and reliable.”

If you find speakers on your notebook don’t deliver quality sounds, you may change for brand new external speakers. Unlike lcd panel or other laptop parts, laptop speakers are small, built to fit in, and can’t offer the same sound quality or volume of computer speakers. Of course, you’ll find many laptop speakers available on the market, but you need these tips to choose good quality external speakers for notebooks.

Usually speaking, there are two types of portable laptop speakers you can choose from. They can be wired or wireless. Wired laptop speakers run on your laptop battery via the USB port. They are a good cheap option for a better sound, but they have a major disadvantage: they take energy from your laptop battery. If you want a good, decent sound for little money, they make a reliable option.

Another option would be wireless laptop speakers. These speakers connect to your laptop wireless or via Bluetooth, and add a lot to portability and ease of use. Also you can place your speakers anywhere you want without having to worry about wires and cables.

A major factor when choosing wireless laptop speakers is compatibility. If your laptop offers wireless technology like Bluetooth, the best option would be buying Bluetooth laptop speakers. These portable laptop speakers connect to the Bluetooth emitter of your laptop, and they are usually plug and play. Most Bluetooth laptop speakers can work with other Bluetooth devices like mp3 or mp4 players. It’s a good idea to check the manufacturer’s description to see what laptops or other electronic devices they are compatible with.

Another factor you should look at is size. This is important if you travel a lot and don’t want to carry around some bulky laptop speakers along with your other laptop accessories. Wireless laptop speakers come in a wide range of sizes and shapes. There are wireless laptop speakers that include a subwoofer and satellite speakers.

You should also take notice of the RF frequency of the speakers. This way you’ll know if they’ll work through furniture, cubicles or walls. The RF frequency represents the range in which you can use the speakers.

Most wireless laptop speakers run on batteries or rechargeable batteries. They can run for up to a few hours of continuous use on one charge. They’re more expensive than wired laptop speakers, but also offer more portability and they don’t drain your laptop battery or battery for laptop.

A laptop means that you can connect to the web wherever you are, for it has small lcd panel and portable replacement laptop battery. However, most of us cannot access the web or share files at any time or any place we want. Thus, you can take use of a wireless router and enjoy convenient online surfing anywhere and anytime you desire.

Firstly, you need to buy a wireless router that fits your needs and price range. Follow the router’s manual to set up the router and its Internet connection, which will probably require connecting a wired client to the router. Once the wireless router is set up, the wired connection is no longer necessary. However, it’s best to leave the wired client connected if it’s a separate computer from that on which you’re going to set up WiFi. If something goes wrong, you can access the administration interface again.

Gather information from the setup process. In order to set up the wireless client, you will need to know the service set identifier (SSID), the Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) key and the channel and mode.

Boot up the laptop and plug in the WiFi card. This will not be necessary if your laptop has an integrated WiFi card. Install any drivers needed to use the WiFi card. Insert the disc that came with the WiFi card and follow the on-screen installation process. Most discs will trigger a new hardware wizard that makes installation extremely simple.

Double-click on the “WiFi Connection” icon. It can be found in the system tray at the bottom of the laptop screen. Click on “Properties.” Select the “Wireless Networks” tab. Use the “Add” button at the bottom of the dialog if your WiFi network isn’t in the “Available Networks” section. Click on “Configure” when you see your network’s SSID in the “Available Networks.” Enter your network’s SSID and WEP key.

Click on “Start,” then choose “Connect To” and “Wireless Network Connection.” Your computer should now be able to access the WiFi network. If the WiFi network is connected to the Internet, it should also be able to connect to the Internet. With light weight battery for laptop, small laptop screen replacement and a wireless router, you can enjoy convenient online surfing at any time you like.
